Ali AlMatrouk

Ali AlMatrouk serves as Managing Director and Vice Chairman of the Jadeite Group®. In addition to his work at Jadeite, Ali serves as NGN Manager at Zain Kuwait; one of the Middle East’s leading Telecom Operators, where his team is responsible for the implementation and operation of Zain Circuit Switched Network. He was an NGN Team Leader from 2014-2015, and an NGN Engineer from 2008- 2012. Ali began developing his business skills while working at Mezzan Holding Company, a family-owned business where he assisted with the company’s merchandising, distribution, financial analysis, and budget setting. In 2009, he went on to co-found Makers Inc., a Kuwaiti company with interests in education technology; representing companies like Texas Instruments, National Instruments, and Vernier Software & Technology. Makers Inc. has a 50% stake in Porter Express, a delivery service provider in Kuwait, and owns a stake in Studio Toggle, a Kuwait-based design studio. Currently, Makers Inc. invests in e-commerce, with three new concepts set to launch in 2016. Continuing to broaden his reach, in 2012 Ali co-founded Oro Realty Group. The company focuses on property ownership and management. Its United States branch, Oro Real Estate Group USA, LLC, is a leader in real estate investment in southern California. In addition to his myriad pursuits, Ali has served as a board member of the American Business Council – Kuwait, since 2012. Ali received a dual BS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of San Diego in the United States, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2007. While at school, Ali became the Chair of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) at the University of San Diego student branch, while also serving as president of Eta Kappa Nu at the University of San Diego. In 2010, Ali co-founded the University of San Diego Alumni Association – GCC Chapter. In 2012, Ali was inducted into Tau Beta Pi; one of the United States’ oldest and most prestigious Engineering National Honor Societies, founded in 1885. He was also selected for the Thukhur Promising Leaders Program, and trained at Cornell University, where his team won second place in Thukhur’s final competition, and he won the Exhibiting Influence and Strategic Thinker awards for leadership excellence.
